Fly Wendy Fly!

It was clean air, and the sweetness of fall and summer in a blend of magnificence that only comes once a year.  It was Nancy Gunn (our piano teacher) in a good mood, and southern pecan coffee with a fresh cinnamon roll from our very own little Covington bakery.  It was driving with windows down past rolling Georgia fields, set off with most picturesque trees, and listening to music, all of this with Margaret.  It was wonderful.

And then it was all topped off with a dream come true, a bucket list check mark that I never thought would happen....

And before I end this post, I must give a shout out to our JAG team at gpc.  We may be a small campus, but we certainly accomplish some great things.
Our JAG team has made sort of a pledge to themselves to make each year better than the last.
They have not failed to go above and beyond this time, that's for sure!

All I have to say is..... "Leave your jacket behind, reach out and touch the tree tops of our town, I can't wait to kiss the ground wherever we touch back down"     .........  Just Think Happy Thoughts.

A Quick 404

"A Star Is Born"
You know those titles that get stuck in your subconscious?  I'm pretty sure that this is one of those, but I can't even remember. However, I'm almost positive that it's a biography about Shirley Temple, the bless-ed old soul.
Anywhozell, this is what I thought of when thinking about this post.  That is to say, it was beautiful.  I had only seen one birth before and that was from afar.  This one was up close and real personal. The pain, the grossness of the before looked so beautiful when we got to the after.  And once we had laughed and cried and so on and so forth, it felt so strange. I felt like we were still waiting. And then there's now...Still trying to realize, and basking in the glow, all at the same time.
She arrived.  At 6:44 am on June 18.  And she is fabulous.  She already has such personality, it makes me chuckle just to think about it.  I'm excited to see how her life unfolds.
She being Arabella Rose Watson.

Baby Phenomenon

On Saturday morning I woke up to mama saying that my very pregnant sister was having a few cramps, so she might go ahead and leave. I had "sort of" planned to go with her when she went, so I "kind of" decided to go with her (many things in our house go undecided until the very last moment and even then, sometimes, we aren't even sure, we just do it).  My brother arranged buddy passes, and after decideing to fly into Dallas, then Oklahoma City, we finally settled on Fort Smith, AR where we rented a snazy SUV and drove the 9 hours to the beloved little cottage on 30thandGary.  Once we planned our route it was smooth sailing, but getting to a decision takes a little more drama than I am sure is healthy for anyone, however we succumb to it every time ;)

Meanwhile in my only liked city of Texas (Lubbock), we wait patiently for our baby phenomenon (otherwise known as second grandbaby/niece or nephew ever born into the Fulmer family, and the first for me to hold/see in person)

Today we are cleansing the air in preparation for baby, diffusing Thieves, Lemon, and Lime, and boy does it smell fine!

Monumental Day

Indeed this is a day to be marked in red ink in a big family Bible.  Nine children.... Nine children! The oldest being 39, and only this year, 7 June 2015, to be exact, has a grandchild/nephew entered the Jimmy Fulmer family.  Yes, a monumental day indeed.
With the exclamations past, I will introduce you to my long awaited nephew.  His name is Nassor Semaje (which is his father's name spelled backward, James). He was born at midnight on the date aforementioned, and he weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz.         Personally I think he looks like me when I was a newborn (said in confidential half whisper).

The Beginning.... Essential oils

Once upon a time..... I fell in love.
I had used a few essential oils before I ordered a starter kit from Young Living, through Amanda Watters, but when the kit arrived and we diffused a little Stress Away and lavender, I knew... we would never break up.  Needless to say I am tremendously enjoying all the oils that are sampled in the starter kit, and I Looove the diffuser!!
Don't worry, you will be hearing more about all of this in the near future.

That One Time....... A long Time Ago

I am sitting here in the shadow of one of the first sweet, summer storms.  The green lusciousness of a Georgia spring is cloaked in velvety grey, discussing sleep with the rumbling thunder, who will sing her a lullaby in deep, rolling tones.

5 April..... Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday.  In our family this Sunday has never been hugely celebrated in the usual fashion that most engage in.  However, it has somehow always been special.  I've always known that Easter Sunday is the celebration of Jesus rising from the grave, but as a child it also held a vague excitement, a feeling of confusion and unclear cheer. I knew that other kids were doing Easter Egg hunts and somehow the excitement of millions of children seeped into the sunshine of Easter Sunday, lending an extra glow to the bright colors, and cheerful smiles.  I am coming to be able to join in, more fully, the joy of this day as I see more clearly the sacrifice and Victory of the Risen King. Now I am realizing that it is not only the excitement of egg hunting children, but the joy each of God's children has in the Victorious Savior that is filling the sunshine with energy and making the colors more vibrant.

Happy Easter!! And Blessings to you from Our Risen Savior!
